Strategic Business Economics Program (Certificate and Master’s)

The Strategic Business Economics Program (SBEP) is the UA&P flagship program exclusively for top management executives.

The program, which is under the School of Economics, aims to enable these executives to:

  • Broaden their perspective and enhance their capacity to handle strategic and long-term policy issues that confront their organizations;
  • Identify the fundamental trends and changes taking place in the national and international economies, and understand how these influence the performance and prospects of regions, sectors, industries, and their specific business firms;
  • Access key research information to make successful and strategic business decisions;
  • Apply business economic tools to create value in every facet of their organization.

Eleven months into the program, the executive gains a Certificate in Business Economics (CBE). A successful defense of a strategic plan for their company as a thesis, and they obtain a Master in Business Economics (MBE).

  • Interact with company presidents and vice presidents, directors, NGO and government leaders, entrepreneurs, expatriates, ambassadors, and professionals
  • Share your ideas and challenges with executives from diverse business backgrounds and nationalities (over 1,600 alumni represented by 26 nationalities since 1974)
  • Network with top government officials and business leaders through “kapihan” and alumni get-togethers
