Associate Professor Dr. Antonio N. Torralba is a University Fellow and a member of the UA&P Board of Trustees. He is the first and current holder of the Mariano and Estelita de Jesus Que Professorial Chair on Family and Youth Education. He is set to spearhead a wider spectrum of youth character education and family development education programs for the Philippines and the rest of Southeast Asia.

Dr. Torralba holds a PhD in Philosophy, with specialization in Pedagogy, from the University of Navarre, Spain. His more than 50 years in the field of education has witnessed the major roles he played in the establishment of private initiatives, schools, institutes, academic programs, and development programs that have touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals across the country. Former President Fidel V. Ramos appointed him UNESCO Commissioner for Education in 1997-1998.

He continues to serve in different capacities in several associations and programs, such as the National Association of Secondary Schools of the Philippines (NASSPHIL), Synergeia Foundation, Inc., Education Governance Effectiveness (EdGE), and Campaign for Character Education Tenacity (CACHET).
