Dr. Marion L. Magsino is the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, where she oversees the operations of the Junior College program (senior high school) and the Humanities and the Liberal Arts programs. She earned her master’s degree and doctorate in Philosophy from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Her dissertation entitled “A Semiotic Analysis of Human Sexuality using a Peirce-Sebeok Framework” markedly positions her research interests along the lines of linguistics and social ethics, particularly pursuing issues on Peircian semiotics, biosemiotics, and human sexuality. Among her published articles are “Peirce, Sebeok and the Semiotic Reformation on Contemporary Communications” and “A Biosemiotic Modeling of the Body-”Self” Synechism”. She is a member of the International Society of Biosemiotics Studies and the Charles S. Peirce Society. She is also an alumna of the Foundation Critical Thinking (2010, California) and the Hildebrand Project (2018, Steubenville).
