Bridging cultures and continents. Designing development. Crafting strategies and guidelines for governance.
Inspired by Oxford University’s Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) course, our Political Economy Program (PEP) equips students with the knowledge and analytical skills needed for understanding increasingly complex social realities using multiple perspectives from politics, economics, history, philosophy and sociology, and always aware of their local and global contexts.
Through the years, we have produced excellent graduates who are now well-placed in government, civil society, and the private sector in the country and in the international community, making substantial contributions for the good of society.
UA&P is the first and only university in the Philippines offering a Masters in Political Economy (MPE).
MPE prepares graduates to pursue professional work in the fields of politics and governance, economics, diplomacy and foreign service, development work and advocacies, business, media communications, research, and academe.
College graduates and professionals may apply.
Classes are conducted on weekday evenings (6:00-9:00 pm) and on Saturdays.
Like all UA&P students, students in the MPE – Evening Program are provided with one-on-one personal and professional mentoring.
The program is accredited under the K to 12 transition program of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), meaning that faculty and non-teaching staff of universities and colleges can pursue the program under CHED scholarship.
