  Nina Ynion is a lecturer at the Department of Arts of the University of Asia and the Pacific, and an Assistant Art Conservator under the supervision of Mrs. Missy Sanares-Reyes.<\/strong> She obtained her Master of Arts in Humanities and Bachelor of Arts Major in Humanities from UA&P. In 2020, she earned her Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Conservation from Studio Arts College International in Florence, Italy.\u00a0At present, she is taking up PhD in Philippine Studies at the University of the Philippines Diliman.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

  Her research interests\u00a0<\/span>primarily lie in religious art, specifically, iconology.\u00a0<\/span>For her master\u2019s thesis, she discussed the importance of Philippine art in understanding cultural history. She studied the sculptures of Leoncio Asuncion and related it to the effects of colonialism to the Philippines and to Filipinos.\u00a0She plans to pursue research in the field of conservation-restoration, particularly to develop a theory that specifically will be of great assistance to Philippine conservation efforts of moveable works of art.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
