<\/span><\/p>\n The Diploma Program in Supply Chain Management (DPSCM) aims to thoroughly enhance the participant\u2019s competency as a manager by teaching them all the facets of supply management.\u00a0 The end-to-end coverage from Demand and Replenishment, Procurement, Customer Service to Distribution including management skills, makes the program holistic.<\/span><\/p>\n Upon completion of the program, participants will have learned the different concepts and strategies involved in supply chain management planning. This will allow the participant to appreciate the importance of Supply Chain and how it will impact their organization.<\/span><\/p>\n Facilitator: <\/b>Daniel Belbis<\/span><\/p>\n This module covers all elements that are involved in the planning and replenishment processes to ensure that demand is satisfied in the most cost-efficient manner. Bacsa<\/span><\/p>\n This module covers the procurement functions and processes. It will allow the participant to understand the basic competencies necessary to select and develop suppliers, negotiate effectively and source products in the most cost-efficient manner. It also covers procurement law and contract management as well as defining buyers\u2019 and suppliers\u2019 obligations. The module will introduce participants to Strategic Purchasing.<\/span><\/p>\n Facilitator: <\/b>Lourdes Guzman, CPSM, CLSP-AP, DSM<\/span><\/p>\n This module will allow the participants to understand the role of logistics in making the products available to satisfy demand as well as the new role of customer service in supply management. It also allows the participant to understand and apply strategies in logistics operations to enhance the competitiveness of an organization and improve customer service level.<\/span><\/p>\n Facilitator: <\/b>Antonio Kent M. Valderrama<\/span><\/p>\n The objective of this module is to provide understanding of the scope and importance of distribution covering overall concepts as well as individual subsystems. It allows the participants to better appreciate the need to effectively reach the market place and apply strategies to improve performance and reduce cost.<\/span><\/p>\n Facilitator: <\/b>Ramon R. Guevara, C.P.M., DSM and Lucito R. Torres, PMP<\/span><\/p>\n This module will help develop the participant to better manage the supply chain functions using basic management skills. It will also enable the participant to analyze simple financial statements and use of relevant financial ratios in making decisions. It will also allow the participants to better manage projects. The participants will also be able to manage risks in the supply chain by being able to identify and mitigate risks.<\/span><\/p>\n Facilitator: <\/b>Varsolo Sunio<\/span><\/p>\n The module provides the participants with an overview of the physical internet, touted as the future of logistics. The physical internet is an “open global logistics system founded on physical, digital, and operational interconnectivity\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The main rationale for a shift to PI is the assertion that the means \u201cphysical objects are currently transported, handled, stored, realized, supplied, and used throughout the world is unsustainable economically, environmentally, and socially\u201d (Montreuil, 2011).
