The Applied Business Economics Program (ABEP) is designed for company staff who assist top executives in corporate planning and research and for line people who would like to build strong theoretical foundations in planning.<\/strong><\/p>\n These include corporate analysts and middle-level managers who have such responsibilities and objectives.<\/p>\n The program aims to provide the participants with an awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and problems confronting the nation, and with opportunities to apply economic research techniques and develop analytical and problem solving skills, especially those necessary to understand and evaluate the economic environment.<\/p>\n ABEP allows the participant to relate current economic conditions and issues to business operations at the firm level using UA&P\u2019s wealth of local and international research data. Since the participants are gainfully employed, the program applies to their industry and institutional needs.<\/p>\n The course is composed of eight modules, with two subjects per module, running for a total of two years. For first-year students, classes are held twice a week, every Tuesday (6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) and Saturday (9:00 am to 12:00 pm). In their second year, students will have classes every Monday (6:00 pm to 9:30 pm) and Wednesday (6:00 pm to 9:30 pm).<\/p>\n ABEP also offers a Professional Graduate Certificate Course, a two-course certificate open to all professionals who wish to deepen their understanding of Economic and Industry Analyses.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_toggle title=”Program Contents” icon_color=”#ec9715″ _builder_version=”4.4.8″ title_text_color=”#ec9715″ title_level=”h2″ title_text_align=”left” custom_margin=”||5px||false|false” custom_padding=”||||false|false”]<\/p>\n The program runs for two years. The first one and a half years are primarily devoted to seminars and workshops. The last semester of the second year\u00a0covers thesis writing and defense. The revised curriculum enhances the first through certain additions\u2014<\/strong>making it the most suitable business program for the young business professional.<\/p>\n ABEP can be completed by pursuing either the Thesis track, or the Non-Thesis track:<\/p>\n The Thesis serves to integrate all the subjects taken in the Program.\u00a0 The thesis must address an issue in the industry, sector or firm and must integrate the analytical tools and skills imparted in the program.<\/p>\n The Applied Business Economics Paper aims to integrate analytical frameworks and methods learned in the Program.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle title=”Schedule and Activities” icon_color=”#ec9715″ _builder_version=”4.4.8″ title_text_color=”#ec9715″ title_level=”h2″ title_text_align=”left” custom_margin=”||5px||false|false” custom_padding=”||||false|false”]<\/p>\n The program begins in August.
