Dr. Angel Antonio is currently the Dean of the School of Education and Human Development. He is a certified specialist in developmental psychology (CSDP), a registered psychologist (RPsy), and a licensed professional teacher (LPT). He is also an accreditor in higher education (both tertiary and graduate programs) of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). Dr. Antonio received his M.A. and Ph.D. from Miriam College.

Concurrently serving as the Program Director of the Early Childhood Education program, Dr. Antonio teaches undergraduate level courses in General Psychology, Special Education and Inclusive Education, and Guiding Young Children’s Behavior and Moral Development and also graduate level courses on Early Childhood Special Education and Lifespan Developmental Psychology.

Cesar Baltazar is a lecturer in the MS Human Capital and Organization Development Program at the UA&P School of Education and Human Development. He holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of the Philippines and an MBA from the Ateneo de Manila University. He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.

Dr. Baltazar is a Certified Management Consultant and a Diplomate in People Management. He worked as Director of Organization Development at San Miguel Corporation and is an independent consultant on strategic management, and human capital and organization development.

Aylin M. Bello, MA, RPsy is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma-informed approaches and cognitive behavioral therapy. She received her MA in Counseling Psychology from the Ateneo de Manila University. She is a consultant psychologist at In Touch Community Services and has her own private practice. She has worked extensively with adolescents and adults with issues and conditions such as depression, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and relationship issues. Her research interests include help-seeking behaviors, mindfulness-based interventions, and risk-taking behaviors among adolescents. Aylin also conducts workshops and talks on topics such as well-being, mindfulness, self-compassion, stress management, and emotion regulation.

Patricia Berba lectures in the BS Human Capital Development program of the School of Education and Human Development. She is also a Business Coach in the Entrepreneurial Management program of the School of Management.

She obtained her master’s degree in Business Administration (International Business) at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of the Philippines. She also completed a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Studies from Cornell University.

She is a management consultant with over 25 years of professional experience, trained and accredited in training, coaching, and organizational quality assessment. She has written papers and has been invited as a speaker on leadership integrity and human capital development themes in various local and international groups. In addition, she is involved in communities of values advocates, e.g., the Values 20 Group (Emerging Engagement Group of the G20).

Foz is an alumna of UA&P, having graduated in 2008 with a degree in AB Humanities with specialization in Development Education. She holds an MA in Developmental Psychology from the Ateneo de Manila University and is a licensed professional teacher specializing in teaching early childhood, adolescent, and teacher education. Aside from teaching in UA&P part-time, she is a full-time training coordinator at The Fair Hiring Initiative, a Manila-based non-profit for ethical recruitment. She is also the managing director of the Asian Center for Education, Research and Training (ACERT), a Manila-based professional development and research non-profit.

Foz is also involved in the performing arts within and outside the University. She is a stage manager and choreographer for Theatre Titas, the moderator of UA&P’s Dulaang ROC, and an assistant coach for the UA&P Firestarters.

Eunice graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Major in Humanities and a Master of Arts in Education, Major in Development Education, magna cum laude, from UA&P in 2014. After teaching for a year in a Philippine higher education institution, she went to Rome, Italy where she finished her Licentiate in Philosophy, Major in Ethics and Anthropology, summa cum laude, from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in June 2021. She joined the School of Education and Human Development of UA&P as a full-time faculty member upon her return to the Philippines in August 2021. She is interested in doing further research in the field of education using her philosophical background. Among her research interests are virtue ethics, its embodiment in character education, and professional ethics in teaching.

Teacher Mel is a homegrown talent who graduated cum laude with a master’s degree in Child Development and Education. She is a Master Pre-School Teacher at the UA&P Child Development and Education (CDE)  Center and is an Instructor II at the School of Education and Human Development, where she teaches CDE major courses, namely Technology for Teaching & Learning and Science in Early Childhood. Teacher Mel believes that learner-oriented teaching and learning is foundational in developing the whole child. Her fields of interest include family engagement, reading development, motivation, and socio-emotional learning in young children, and the psychology of the teaching and learning process. Currently, she is taking her doctorate degree in Educational Psychology at De La Salle University.

Joanne holds a master’s degree in developmental psychology and is currently completing her PhD on the same field. A licensed and certified developmental psychologist, she has served as a resource speaker and has facilitated a number of training and workshops to various corporate and educational clientele on topics like stress management, career-related subjects, mental health awareness, and personal growth. She is currently a wellness manager, which allows her to manage a team of wellness coaches, organize wellness activities for employees, and regularly communicate her observation and insights with the management team. Volunteer work also gives her the opportunity to collaborate with other psychologists and mental health practitioners to provide intervention to underprivileged sectors being supported by non-profit organizations.

A registered professional teacher, Joanne has been teaching for the past 19 years and currently works as a part-time lecturer in academic institutions. She is an avid Friends fan, happily married, and living with her two colorful children, Purple and Indigo.

Ferdinand S. Piñgul

Dr. Ferdinand S. Piñgul is currently the Vice Director of UA&P’s Continuing Real-World Education (CORE) unit. He was formerly the Program Director of the University’s Bachelor of Science in Human Capital Development and Master of Science in Human Capital and Organization Development programs. He also served as a member of UA&P’s Research Ethics Review Board. He holds a doctorate degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Management from the University of the Philippines.  

Dr. Piñgul has published studies and papers in social justice, civic education, and knowledge management. As a licensed psychologist, he is also a member of the Psychological Association of the Philippines, where he served as Chair for its Social Psychology Division for a couple of years.

Prior to joining the academe, Dr. Piñgul was in the Human Resource Management practice, serving organizations from the banking, consulting, and food retail industries.
